New DIY Deodorant Recipe

About 6 years ago, I started making my own deodorant, and shared the recipe with you. It was based on bicarb soda, and was the most effective deodorant I have ever used. It was also safe, eco-friendly and cheap.

However, a few months ago one of my arm pits became irritated, and I decided to switch deodorants for awhile. I came across another simple recipe and after experimenting and changing it up, thought I'd share it with you.

Add the following to a small bottle, and spray under arms twice a day:
  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part white vinegar
  • 1 part water
  • A few drops of eucalyptus oil

Unlike the bicarb based deodorant this has to be reapplied to stop B.O., but being a spray it takes 5 seconds. If you've just shaved, apply coconut oil before using the deodorant - it softens the sting (and moisturises).

Ps. I also discovered that alcohol based hand sanitiser is a massive save for those days when you're out and realise you've forgotten to put deodorant on - works really well.
